Job Description: Project Manager - Conjunct Consulting (posted 15/09/2017)

The Project Managers (PM) role will be to manage two short-term projects for Conjunct Consulting, starting immediately to December 2017. The PM will provide advice and support to the student project team for both projects. The PM will also liaise with our two (2) clients (nonprofit partner organizations) and oversee project quality.

The student teams will consist of 5 (five) university level students per team per project. As a PM, you will work with them to frame issues, push analyses, as well as provide feedback on outputs and other deliverables. While the key role will be to project manage the work of the teams to ensure quality and schedule, you may be required to do some project implementation from time to time.

An ideal PM for these two Conjunct projects has manager-level experience in at least one of the following areas: finance, management consulting, strategy, operations and/or working with both for-profit and non-profit areas of focus. As the PM, you can look forward to using your insights and experience to help deliver two successful projects which will have a lasting impact for the social sector. While at the same time mentoring your student teams to deliver these quality projects.

Time Commitment

The time comment for both projects is 2.5 days per week. The projects will run from now until the 30th December. Project outcomes to be delivered to the client by 22nd December with a week for warp up.


This is a paid position with competitive remuneration.

Duties and Responsibilities

Below list the collective responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Advice and support the student teams for two consulting projects.

  • Ensure the project teams deliver high quality outputs that meet the project scope.

  • Work with the student teams to ensure that the projects progress as per the defined

    timeline and meet the project deadlines.

  • Liaise with our two (2) clients (nonprofit partner organizations) and oversee the

    projects quality.

  • Engage the clients to provide information / reports or any other material as needed

    by the project teams.

  • Ensure the project team and nonprofit partner adhere to the project scope and adjust

    the scope if necessary as the project progresses

  • Provide regular updates to the client as agreed at the beginning on the projects.

  • Attend project meetings with the two project teams and clients as necessary.

  • Uphold Conjunct Consulting’s values while interacting with both the project team and

    the clients.

  • Candidates must be based in and have the right to work in Singapore.
