Mindfulness and the female identity
As human beings, we find security in our identity. When we feel secure in who and what we are, we are not obsessed with what others think of us and can put aside things that are not important. Being secure in our identity also secures our body image to a positive one.
- How do we perceive our identity as a woman?
- Are we aware, as women, how hard we try to define ourselves?
- Are we aware of our worth? Or are we constantly trying to prove ourselves?
- What do we, as women, place our energy on? How does that serve us?
- What can we accept or find unacceptable?
Mindfulness feeds not only one’s mind but also the soul. Mindfulness calms one’s mind, which enables hope and peace, then the body responds positively. Mindful living enables appreciation and love of oneself. It brings joy into the moment. This interactive workshop will provide an opportunity to explore the concept of the female identity, and how we can embrace it to enhance our wellbeing. There will also be easy, practical techniques that will have you immediately on the path to becoming a mindful individual.
