Join Our Team! We're on the look out for an Events Director.

Are you a master of event planning and passionate about creating unforgettable experiences? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Events Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a diverse calendar of events to support the development and growth of our members.
  • Collaborate with the 2nd Thursday Lead and Special Interest Group (SIG) Team Leader to ensure a strong lineup of captivating and relevant events throughout the year.
  • Work closely with the Programmes Director to align event themes and topics with the professional women's career and personal development goals.
  • Identify and secure event venues, negotiate contracts, and manage event budgets to ensure cost-effective and successful events.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure smooth event logistics, including catering, audiovisual, transportation, and other necessary services.
  • Oversee event marketing and promotion, working closely with the Marketing team to create compelling event campaigns.
  • Manage event registration and attendee lists, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide on-site event management, overseeing setup, registration, program flow, and attendee experience to ensure a seamless and enjoyable event.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to gather feedback, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, speakers, and thought leaders to secure their participation in events.
  • Stay informed about event industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative event experiences to enhance our events' quality and impact.

 

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Proven experience in event planning and management, with a track record of successfully organising a variety of events, preferably in a professional or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including team members, vendors, sponsors, and attendees.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring all aspects of events are carefully planned and executed.
  • Budget management skills, with the ability to allocate resources efficiently and track event-related expenses.
  • Creative and innovative approach, bringing fresh ideas and concepts to enhance event experiences.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes and challenges during events.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of event management software and tools is a plus.
  • Passion for creating impactful events and fostering meaningful connections among our members.
